From the Airport
Flying to Brussels? There are several ways to get to the city center from Brussels Airport (Zaventem):
By train: Belgian railway (SNCB/NMBS) provides shuttles between Brussels Airport and the city’s main stations (North, Central, South), several times per hour. More information
By taxi: Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. Licensed taxis can be identified by the yellow and blue lamp on their roof. More information
By bus: Brussels public transport (STIB/MIVB) offers bus connections with the city center through lines 12 (before 8pm) and 21 (after 8 pm), which stop at Place du Luxembourg (European district). More information
Please be aware of the difference between Brussels Airport (Zaventem) and Brussels South Charleroi Airport. Located outside of Brussels, the latter provides a shuttle service to get to Brussels city center.
ULB Solbosch Campus
The main public transport services will get you close to campus:
Bus lines 71 and 72 | Tramway lines 8 and 25: ULB stop (campus edge)
Tramway line 7: Buyl and Cambre-Étoile stops (4–minute walk)
Bus line 95: Cimetière d’Ixelles stop (8–minute walk)
Several regional S railway lines stop at the Etterbeek, Watermael, and Boondael stations. From there, the campus is a few minutes away by bicycle or by public transportation, and 15-20 minutes away on foot.
Public transport services offer solutions for persons with reduced mobility.
By car: Solbosch and Plaine campuses have reserved parking spots for persons with disabilities. More information (in French)
By public transport: STIB/MIVB is working on making bus, tramway, and metro lines and stops more accessible to persons with reduced mobility. It also operates Taxibus, a door-to-door transportation service for persons with disabilities. More information
By taxi: Taxi companies in Brussels have a fleet of accessible vehicles for persons with reduced mobility. More information
By train: SNCB/NMBS offers assistance services for persons with reduced mobility. More information
